The Utrecht Convention Bureau (UCB) – part of Utrecht Marketing – is an independent entity that provides advice to organisers of national and international meetings, conferences, and other business gatherings regarding the opportunities offered by the Utrecht region. We are always happy to share our thoughts and ideas about the optimal venue, but also provide guidance on bid procedures, site inspections, potential grants, social programs, and the marketing and promotion of your event.
Collaboration
RBT Heuvelrug & Vallei, Woerden Marketing, and Utrecht Marketing are collaborating on the regional business tourism initiative. This endeavor is an initiative supported by the Utrecht Province and is aided by all Destination Management Organizations (DMOs) within the province. The goal is to collectively establish the Utrecht region as a business destination and promote business tourism throughout the province.
Our history
Established in 2010 by the city and province of Utrecht, the Utrecht Convention Bureau (UCB) was primarily founded to position Utrecht as an appealing national and international conference destination. Operating under the umbrella of Utrecht Marketing, the UCB has significantly contributed over the years to enhancing the recognition of both the city and the region among national and international organisers of corporate events.
In addition to their substantial economic value, conferences play a pivotal role in enhancing Utrecht’s international reputation. This is essential for attracting and retaining suitable companies and talent within the region. With the recent launch of the 2022 collaboration in the realm of business tourism, the positioning of Utrecht as an attractive business destination is further fortified through joint efforts.
